WRAP announces publication of review of composting standards.

The Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) was established in 2001 as part of the UK government's waste strategy 2000 to promote sustainable waste management. The WRAP focus is to create stable and efficient markets for recycled materials and products.

In June 2002 WRAP published a comprehensive study comparing international compost standards. The study also published a review of compost standards in 22 countries including Ireland.

These will be of particular interest in Ireland where compost standards have not yet been developed.
