Waste Resource Action Programme (WRAP) has funded OCAE Consultants to conduct a 
research crop trial titled “Investigations into the Performance of Green Waste Compost in a 
Winter Wheat Fertiliser Program”. 

The objectives of the trial are as follows:

• To evaluate the fertiliser value of compost at varied application rates, relative to conventional fertilisers and organic manure on Winter Wheat;

• To evaluate the effects of compost application on crop characteristics & physiology; and

• To evaluate the effects of compost application on soil structural characteristics.
