Mary Appelhof RIP

It is with great regret that Cré notes the death of Mary Appelhof. Mary was a pioneer in the development of the vermicomposting industry in the US and globally with many publications to her name and over 33 years of service.

Given all of this experience and given Mary’s reputation as a galvanizing speaker, the Cré Seminar organizing committee 2005 was delighted that Mary had accepted the Cré invitation to be the keynote speaker at the Cré Annual Seminar on May 5th 2005.

Unfortunately this did not happen as Mary became ill with cancer and had to withdraw her acceptance to attend the Cré seminar. The sad news cam through on May 4th that Mary had died after struggling to recover from surgery. Cré wishes to pass on its condolences to Mary’s family and friends.
